- John Exner Added September 15, 2017★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I passed this establishment in mid 2012 & upon seeing the 100+ year old cottage across the road from the pub was determined to stay there one day. The Cunnamulla Fella rodeo provided this opportunity & I stayed there in November 2012 for three nights and one night in the pub as it was required for a local wedding for the last night. It is owned by Josephine who also owns the pub. It should be borne in mind that the population of Wyandra is 45. There are just seven kids in school there.
100 kms in either direction to a proper town. There are no cooking facilities in the 2 br cottage but all meals available across the road. There is only one tap for the shower but as it is on bore water, the water is warm all the time. Flush toilet OK. Not well maintained but this is real outback experience. A city slicker would rate it as poor. In hindsight $75 for the cottage might be fair but $65 for the room a bit over the top especially as she benefits from providing meals/drinks. Shes been there for 27 years so getting a bit tired doing everything herself.
